Buy the Swiss Pass, it allows you to travel on “nearly” all buses, trains, ships, ferry, boats, cablecar for the duration of time.
CHF282 for a duration of 8 days.
Book via the online Swiss Travel System and it will deliver you the Swiss Pass direct to your home. Best to do so atleasat 1 month before departure.

We purchased a Swiss Sim card at the Post Office at Swiss International Airport. It cost about CHF30 for A LOT of talk time! We didn’t finish using our talk time after the trip.
